PART I

Diploma issued by an educational institution located in Singapore in a construction-related discipline, including but not limited to —

(a) civil engineering;
(b) mechanical engineering;
(c) electrical and electronic engineering; and
(d) architecture.

In Parts I, II and III —

ā€œAdvanced Builder Certificateā€ means any Advanced Builder Certificate issued by the Authority;

ā€œApproved Supervisory Certificateā€ means any approved supervisory certificate issued by the Authority;

ā€œBuilder Certificateā€ means any Builder Certificate issued by the Authority;

ā€œCertificate of Registrationā€ means a certificate issued by the Ministry of Manpower certifying that the certificate holder may operate tower cranes, mobile cranes or crawler cranes;

ā€œConstruction Trade Foreman Certificateā€ means the Construction Trade Foreman Certificate issued by the Authority;

ā€œElectrical Worker Licenceā€ means the electrical worker licence granted under section 82 of the Electricity Act (Cap. 89A);

ā€œGas Service Worker Licenceā€ means the gas service worker licence granted under section 12 of the Gas Act (Cap. 116A);ā€.

ā€œNational Certificate in Construction Supervisionā€ means the National Certificate in Construction Supervision issued by the Authority;

ā€œNBQā€ means any ā€œNational Building Qualificationā€ issued by the Building and Construction Authority Academy;

ā€œNITECā€ means the National Institute of Technical Education Certificate issued by the Institute of Technical Education;

ā€œNTCā€ means the National Trade Certificate issued by the Vocational and Industrial Training Board or the Institute of Technical Education;

ā€œPlumber Licenceā€ means the sanitary plumber licence issued by the Public Utilities Board;

ā€œRegistered Sanitary Plumber Certificateā€ means the registered sanitary plumber certificate issued by the Singapore Plumbing Society;

ā€œSECā€ means any Skills Evaluation Certificate (Practical) issued by the Authority;

ā€œSEC(K)ā€ means any Skills Evaluation Certificate (written and practical) issued by the Authority;

ā€œTrade Diplomaā€ refers to any trade diploma issued by the Building and Construction Authority Academy;

ā€œWater Service Plumber Licenceā€ means the water service plumber licence granted under rule 17 of the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations (Cap. 261, Rg 5).ā€.
