Drawing from their successful implementation of Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) in landmark projects like The Star Vista and Jewel Changi Airport, CapitaLand Development not only recognised IDD's transformative capabilities, but also the critical role clients play in spearheading its adoption.
To this end, they had, for the first time, incorporated Building Information Modelling (BIM)/ IDD requirements into the contracts for consultants, contractors and sub-contractors. Working alongside a BIM/ IDD consultant, they established detailed IDD specifications covering areas such as project deliverables and prescribed digital platforms, ensuring aligned expectations across the project team. Regular updates were also provided to keep stakeholders informed of ongoing IDD initiatives.
Beyond technology implementation, CapitaLand also prioritised workforce development through continuous learning programmes and targeted workshops to build digital competencies.
